Wow, I got a blog award! Coffee Bean from The Righteous Buzz nominated me, even though it seems like I hardly have time to post anything these days. Coffee Bean is a fellow "dystonian" and it has been interesting getting to know her off of the typical bulletin board and email group settings. Now, I get the fun of nominating others for this prestigious award!
These are the official blog award rules:
1. The winner can put the logo on his/her blog.
2. Link the person you received your award from.
3. Nominate up to 7 other blogs.
4. Put links of those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message on the blogs of the people you’ve nominated.
So, here are my nominations, in no particular order:
Desert Pastor's Wife has been a good friend and sister in Christ for many years. Although we do not see each other very often these days, we keep in frequent contact via email. Her writing on this blog is sure to inspire and challenge you. She and her husband have just started the wonderful journey of adoption, as they have longed to do for many years. God has blessed them with a beautiful young woman who 2 1/2 years and she is adding much sugar and spice to their lives these days!
Connie at Practicing Theology is another sister in Christ and who we were able to visit with this summer, on our trip to Oklahoma. What a wonderful reunion that was, as we watched our girls get to know their two daughters better. We had the privilege of introducing Connie and her husband to the wonderful world of adoption and also of supporting them throughout a challenging Russian adoption.
Ukraniac is someone I have only recently met on the blogosphere. She and her husband live and minister in Ukraine and I very much enjoy reading her perspective on that part of the world. I hope to have an opportunity to meet her this spring, as they will actually be here in our hometown!
Lisa at Deo Volente is a friend who used to attend the same church we did in Tulsa. I have actually had more of an opportunity to get to know her over the internet since we both moved away, though I do hope to be able to spend time with her in person one of these days. Lisa is a godly friend who is full of energy and spunk, and who is also working on accepting her limitations during this particular season of her life (a challenge for those of us who want to "do it all").
I have very much enjoyed getting to know Suzette at Bringing Our Boys Home , these past few months. She first contacted us through our adoption blog and it has been a true joy to walk alongside her as they traveled to the Ukraine to bring Vitalik and Eli home. Her desire to parent these young men in a godly manner has been such an encouragement and I very much hope to have a chance to meet their entire family one of these days!
This list cannot be complete without me nominating the blogs that our two sons have started. This may not be a "cool" award that will be posted on their blogs, but I will nominate them, nonetheless, and perhaps they will get a few more readers that way. Trey (15 years old) has been blogging for some time now, and is currently writing on Youth of Eternity. The word we have used to describe Trey since the moment of his birth has been "exuberant", and this character trait comes through well in his writing! Visit his blog and see for yourself!
And, lastly, but surely not least, I nominate Shawn at Musings of a Young Christian Writer. He is just beginning his blogging career, but shows much promise. Although he is our youngest, he has a strong grasp of reality and is a deep thinker. He enjoyed taking a Systematic Theology course with Dad this past summer and has a desire to serve the Lord in his life.
So, there you go! Enjoy perusing the blogs of these dear friends (and sons), as they all come quite highly recommended by me. Thanks for the opportunity to do this, Coffee Bean!

Thank you!!! I'm looking forward to handing this one out, too! :-)
I've done mine! :)
ooooh!!! I look forward to checking those blogs out later this week! I'm glad you liked the award! God Bless!
Thanks so much for the award. I haven't done anything with it yet but plan on doing it as soon as I can. I also look forward to reading the other blogs as soon as I can! A little one seems to take up a lot of time but we're enjoying having her in our lives now!
Just to let you know I posted it. Once again thanks, dear friend of mine!
Hello,
Desert Pastor's wife passed the award on to me yesterday and as I was checking out the links I found that you are fom Alabama! We are in St. Clair county.
I have even been to your church's website several times because I have family members in Huntsville who are unchurched and in need of the nouethic counseling instead of the world's counseling.
Nice to "meet" you,
Berean Wife
